Dear all,
This term our students will be taking part in World Book Day happening next MONDAY 23rd April 2018. The aim of celebrating this day is to raise literacy awareness by encouraging our students to read whilst having fun! This will be a full day event, whereby students from each Juniour sector will be involved in different types of age-related activities. Some activities will involve reading sessions, School Library visits, guest speakers and writers, workshops and literacy games.
On this day ONLY, students can come wearing their favourite book character fancy dress costume or full School uniform. Fancy dress is optional. It is important that:
- –no pointed accessories are allowed (such as swords, guns, arrows, etc),
- -no full-face masks are allowed,
- -face painting and nail polish is allowed,
- -hair colour and wigs are allowed,
- -after-school programme will be running as normal on the day,
- -students attending after-school sessions will be allowed to change from their costume before their respective activity.
We will NOT have our usual lessons, therefore students do not need to bring their normal school bag on the day. All Juniour students are to bring their normal lunch, water bottle, pencil case and colours in a small bag. Also, children are requested to bring their favourite reading book with them to school.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase books on the day. As all of you have been informed, any forms and fees are to be returned to Ms.Georgina by not later than Friday 27th April 2018.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and happy weekend!
Kind regards,
Ms. Natalie
